Sofía Margarita Vergara (born July 10, 1972 in Barranquilla, Atlántico, Colombia) is a Colombian actress and glamour model. Vergara is best known for her role as Gloria Pritchett on the ABC sitcom Modern Family in the United States, for which she earned nominations for three Golden Globe Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.
